Find out more...

Wizard’s Guide to Wellington by A.J. Ponder

WGcoverAn adventure for the young at heart through Wellington City, including Miramar, Eastbourne, and the Wellington Waterfront.
Alec’s Dad is kidnapped, his mysterious English cousin, Perrin, has gone missing, and he has found a talking book that insists the ground beneath his feet is dangerous – and alive!
Perrin has arrived at Wellingtowne Airport only to discover Ike, her cantankerous wizarding guide, has disappeared. Worse, her uncle is missing and she is all alone in the dangerous city of Wellingtowne.
Ghosts, taniwhas, magic … and a warning: “Bad men watch you”. Something is very wrong, and it’s up to the two cousins to rescue Wellingtowne & Wellington.

Twisty Book Launch

Yes, Twisty Christmas Tales is launched, here are a couple of pictures Amelia took on the night.

It was a lovely evening, and we had wonderful feedback from so many people who went, and on our facebook launch page :) The support from our fellow writers has been amazing.

Check out the book on Amazon, or if you live in New Zealand, ask in your local bookstore or library.

And now, I get to do what I like doing best and get back to writing fantastical tales.

Merry (early) Christmas,
A.J.

Twisty Tales, Rona Gallery Book Opening,

Dragon Present by Geoff Popham
Gosh, I can't believe it's been so long since I posted. Last time we were looking for submissions for "The Best of Twisty Christmas Tales." And now...the book is almost here - and it's full of fantastic stories by amazing authors including Joy Cowley, David Hill, Dave Freer, Lyn McConchie, Lorraine Orman, D.M. Potter, Lee Murray...

Twisty Christmas Tales PledgeMe is now closed. Twisty Christmas Tales is now available on Amazon, and the best thing is I'm back writing again. But more than that, now I know how to use Amazon, Wizard's Guide should be up any day. I know some of my fans are disappointed because they wanted it up 2 years ago, but better late than never is what I say. More soon.

Also Rona Gallery in Eastbourne opened about a week back,
for pictures of the launch go to ... Rona Gallery Book Blog ...

The Best of Twisty Christmas Tales31 children’s stories by 27 authors, including international best-sellers Joy Cowley, David Hill and Dave Freer.
What will Santa put under your tree this Christmas? A present that growls? Or one that smiles? The Best of Twisty Christmas Tales – crazy Christmas adventures for the whole family! Christmas in outer space or at the beach, havoc in Santa’s workshop, monsters running amok, and mad scientists who turn Christmas into chaos.
Come along for the sleigh ride of your life. These Twisty Tales will weave their festive magic, whipping across NZ pastures, scattering fairy dust on the way to a Christmas BBQ!

I'd tell you my favourite story, seriously I would...if I had one, but I love them all, they're all quirky original NZ stories and I'm really proud to be a part of this project.  Check out the book trailer on youtube, or go to Amazon for a sneak preview.

New Book, Lost in the Museum to be released 26 April 2014

New Book. Lost in the Museum to be released 26 April 2014.

What's not to love, a little mystery, a little romance, and a little fantasy all wrapped up in a place of historic magic everyone can visit. I just love the cover artwork by Geoff Popham & it has three of my stories in it, including one written with Eileen Mueller. It also has stories by Tim Jones, Lyn McConchie, Phillip Mann (nominated for the Arthur C.Clark Award 2014), Glyn MacLean and Tracie McBride of Dark Continents Publishing and more.

Lose yourself in a museum where past, present and future collide. What does Weta’s giant mechanical baby do after hours? Who is altering the time space continuum? Where or when has James gone? What secrets is Tui Merriweather hiding? Dive into mayhem at a well-known Wellington waterfront destination. Going to the museum will never be the same again.

We hope to have it out soon as an e-book so if you live overseas, you too can enjoy losing yourself in the museum.
